Hayden Expands the Tradition of a Library

Hayden Expands the Tradition of a Library Recently, Hayden Library re-opened this semester, but new technological resources have hitched a ride back inside with the books. Hayden still provides these resources for free, following the traditional mission of libraries.
The new Hayden Library comes with a bigger area for it's Makerspace and the many services it provides to students. The Makerspace at Hayden Library follows the trend of libraries across the U.S. converting existing spaces into makerspaces for their community. Students can find peers there who specialize in the many tools available: from 3D printers to vinyl cutters to even virtual reality googles.

Among the new lockers and student spaces are the Map and Geospatial Hub and the Unit for Data Science and Analytics. They provide students access to experts and tools that could be easily locked behind lab walls.
