Everyone sets out with great intentions to stick to something: a diet, a workout plan, or a meditation regime. We often fall short of doing anything on a regular basis, and let other people or things take priority over our routines and goals. Being consistent with some of our goals would help us better achieve them. It's hard for us to do the same thing over and over in time. One reason it's hard is because we are afraid of being in a routine. Another is we don't want to be predictable. Still another is because we are accustomed to living in an instant gratification world. You ask for something, and you get it now. We don't need to work and save for the things we want. We are taught that, if you want something, you can have it now and pay later. If we had been taught to be consistent in any area of our life, then our goals would be easy to achieve.
