Singapore keen to collaborate with the Middle East, take part in its transformation efforts: Tharman At the annual Middle East Institute Conference on Jan 15, Senior Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam said Singapore is keen to collaborate with the Middle East and take part in its transformation efforts. In particular, Singapore can contribute to improving fintech efforts, and developing skills suited to the needs of the market. Mr Tharman cited Singapore's collaboration with the regional vocational training centre in Jordan as one of the initiatives that both parties are working on. He also stressed that openness in policies is another key component in boosting the potential of both the Middle East and East Asia regions.
