The 64th Annual Award Giving Ceremony 2019-20 - Springdales School, Pusa Road The 64th Annual Award Giving Ceremony took place at Springdales School, Pusa Road on 30th November 2019. Over 300 students presented a dramatic performance Commemorating 150 years of Gandhi titled, ‘Gandhi ke Chinh- Kal Aaj Aur Kal’. The visual odyssey through Bapu’s life and symbols gave an insight into all that made him a revered leader and invoked in the audience a sensitivity towards the ideals of Gandhi. His philosophy of Satyagraha, Ahimsa and promotion of Khadi fabric through the ballet reflected the immortality of The Mahatma.



An exhibition was held at the school campus to experience the years at the Sabarmati Ashram with installations of the Mahatma and his symbols. The school consciously held a day event to conserve electricity.



The Award Ceremony was presided over by Dr. S.Y. Quraishi, former Chief Election Commissioner and Ms. Akriti Kakar, renowned Bollywood singer and former Springdalian.



Dr Quraishi, spoke of the importance of extra-curricular activities in the overall development of an individual’s personality. He lauded the institution’s efforts to inculcate and reflect the ideals of secularity and equality amongst all its students through various such activities and events.



In his welcome address, Lt. General Arun Sahni, former General Officer Commanding in Chief of the Indian Army and member managing board, spoke highly of the school’s endeavors to develop in its students a spirit of collaboration, cooperation and the learning that brings together the Head-Heart- Hand.



In the school report, The Principal, Dr. Ameeta Mulla Wattal, spoke of the relevance of Gandhian values that resonated through all the programmes and activities at school.



On the occasion The Distinguished Alumni Award was conferred on Ms. Nupur Kundu an eminent artist.
