Today, a riot broke out at the walls of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, with almost twenty police officers injured. The reason why thousands of people came up to the parliament were amendments to the law on the free purchase of agricultural land. It's the IMF that demands that Kiev should open the land market, even for foreigners. But the opposition is strongly against it, and it made it clear not only in the city streets but also in the Rada itself, where the MPs virtually disrupted the session.
