Java Fern is a very hardy plant that doesn't require much maintenance. In this video, Fishaholic will show you how to attach a Java Fern to Driftwood or any type of structure in a fish tank. There are few different ways of attaching Java Fern to a driftwood and the most common one is to super glue java fern to driftwood. As long as rhizome is in contact with the structure, the plant should be stable and will grow properly. Roots of the java fern absorb and hold nutrients from the fish tank. Make sure you do not use glue to attach roots of Java Fern to driftwood. Super Glue (non drip gel) is used in this project and it usually dries in 30 seconds. Since i bought driftwood from the aquarium shop, so i had to boil it to kill all the germs and make it water logged. Since both the driftwood and java fern were wet so i used some glue on plant and driftwood for attachment.
An elastic thread that i usually use to hold bait on to my hook if i go surf fishing can be used too. It become invisible when submerged in the water. I usually use thread when there is not enough surface to attach java fern to the aquarium structure. You can always use a thread or fishing line to tie java fern to driftwood. Java Fern doesn't require any plant fertiliser or too much light. It will do well in most of the conditions and it will only die if you have done something majorly wrong.
I hope you have found this video informative and now you would be able to attach a java fern or anubias plant to driftwood or any type of structure in your fish tank.
