There is an urgent need to preserve indigenous languages: PanSALB There is an urgent need to preserve indigenous languages in South Africa. The Pan South African Language Board(PanSALB) is urging South Africans to speak their mother-tongue languages more often. The Board says the use of English has become more popular with the youth who make little effort to learn their own languages.
