Judiciary committed to deal with unresolved lawsuits

Judiciary committed to deal with unresolved lawsuits The Judiciary is planning to use the ongoing expeditious handling of 220 land cases as a yardstick upon which to set new targets for the judges.

While speaking to NTV, the Judiciary spokesperson, Jameson Karemani said that each judge under this special arrangement funded by World Bank will handle 20 Cases in 60 Days.
The annual target for the judges is 300 cases a year and these cut across many divisions.

However, there is fear that prioritising land cases will create a backlog in other divisions of the court.
