I briefly outline the overall responsibilities and goal of each entry-level role in cybersecurity.
Today I talk about six types of entry-level roles:
- Security Analyst (2:00)
- Security Auditor (3:33)
- Security Specialist (4:37)
- Incident Responder (5:26)
- Penetration Tester / Ethical Hacker (6:23)
- Vulnerability Assessor (7:49)
These entry-level roles are common, but not limited to only six.
Keep in mind, I am not an expert. Depending on the company, these entry-level roles may vary in titling.
