What Does the Bible Say About Marital Relations Being Withheld?

In this episode Dr. Betters answers the question, "I have been watching your series and enjoy and learn from it. I saw your video on emotional abuse. It took me many years and care from a psychologist before I learned and accepted the fact that I had been emotionally abused by my wife. She placed everyone above and before me. She withholds sex from me. We were married for 25 years and it was her that left me. I made a commitment and lived up to it. I will not go into the details, I would only be reliving the pain and I am sure you have seen and heard similar situations. But many problems I have had to deal with in my post-divorce life were a function of my wife's emotional abuse and that emotional abuse includes withholding marital relations as a weapon. I was and still am a normal individual with normal desires. I have come to terms with my (past problem) however I believe this is a topic worthy of one of your lessons. I have learned where many wives do not have any understanding of the importance of an intimate relationship with their husbands."
