And all eyes are on whether 'Parasite' up for six Oscars will become the first South Korean film to take home one of more of the famous golden statues.

Hyeong-woo, exciting times for fans of South Korean cinema.
That's right, Mark. The Academy Award ceremony kicked off at the top of the hour at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
The biggest night of the year in Hollywood,...the 92nd Academy Awards is honoring the best films of 2019.
Bong Joon-ho's black comedy 'Parasite' has been scooping dozens of awards since it received the Palme d'Or, the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival in May last year.
Now it's time for the Oscars.
The film has been nominated in six categories - Best Picture, Best Director, Film Editing, International Feature Film, Production Design and Original Screenplay.
Many media outlets predict 'Parasite' will win the Oscar for International Feature Film after it took home the Best Foreign Film at the Golden Globes in January.
But some also say Bong's film could scoop more Oscars...like Best Picture, Best Director and Original Screenplay.
The Associated Press said that, by winning the best ensemble from the Screen Actors Guild, 'Parasite' has the most important vote in the actors who make up the largest percentage of the film academy that determine the winners of the Oscars.
The Guardian said Bong's "tragicomic thriller is the dark horse of this year's Oscars race" and "classical film-making at its best" so it should win Best Picture.
Movie fans will closely be watching to see if 'Parasite' can become not only the first South Korean film to win an Oscar,...but also the first non-English language film to win the big one, Best Picture.
And Hyeong-woo, 'Parasite' is not the only South Korean film competing at the Oscars.
'In the Absence' - a short documentary about the Sewol-ho Ferry disaster - is looking to make history.
Right Mark, 'In the Absence', a documentary about the tragic 2014 sinking is nominated in the category of 'Best Documentary Short Subject'.
It's the first Korean film to compete in the category.
'In the Absence' tells the story of April 16, 2014 when the Sewol-ho Ferry sank off the South Korean coast, killing 304 people - the majority of them high school students on a field trip.
Using recorded phone calls from the tragic day,…the 29-minute-long film subtly yet powerfully tells the story of what happened on that dark day and what followed.
It's been almost six years since one of the country's worst maritime disasters,... but many Koreans still resent the government's search and rescue operations at the time and its follow-up steps, which appeared to many to be one big cover-up
Director Yi Seung-jun is attending the ceremony with two mothers who lost their children in the ferry sinking.
