► Downing Street is under pressure to examine its hiring process, after an adviser quit over controversial comments he made about race, women and pregnancy.

Andrew Sabisky claimed that black people had lower than average IQs, made derogatory remarks about women's sport, and said there should be compulsory contraception to avoid a "permanent underclass".
