Brexit: Union Jack colours light up London buildings ahead of U.K. departure from EU

Several buildings across London, U.K. were lit up in the colours of the Union Jack on Friday evening ahead of the country's departure from the European Union.

Brexit supporters took to the streets in celebration of the formal exit.

The country will enter a transition period with the EU until the end of December.
