Initially, Google made the agreement to crawl our websites and rank us so when people came to google, the viewer's content would b shown, and then the viewer could go to that website for more information.
Now Google is trying to scrape our content from our websites and not have people leave Google. They monetize and keep the customers to themselves.
Think back to 2012 through 2014 everyone was saying to like their business on Facebook. Then whenever the brand published all of their followers would get notified. However, over time Facebook changed the rules and made it a pay to play world.
