The family of the first secretary-general of the ANC, Solomon Plaatje, has removed a cage erected around his grave by the Northern Cape Department of Arts and Culture, ahead of the ANC's birthday celebrations next week. The family has however welcomed President Cyril Ramaphosa's gesture of paying homage to Plaatje. Our reporter Motlalepule Morake was at the WestEnd Cemetery and she spoke to Plaatje's great-grandson Gopolang Plaatje.
