A Yamaha CA-2010 vintage integrated amplifier repair, restoration and testing video. The power amplifier is switchable between Class A and Class A/B operation with the flick of a switch. This amplifier is rated at 120 watts per channel in class A/B mode and 40 watts per channel in class A mode. Old electrolytic capacitors were replaced in the power supply and the amplifier assemblies. Deoxit was used on the controls. This Yamaha CA-2010 built from 1977-1979 was then bench tested with an audio analyzer. This CA-2010 did more then then 20% above it's rated power output on the test bench while easily beating the amplifier total harmonic distortion (THD) rating. This was a restoration that after 40 years of service this vintage integrated amplifier needed. This Yamaha integrated amplifier now sounds great and will be reliable for decades to come. I am a hobbyist that repairs and collects vintage stereo gear. Every piece of equipment that you see in my video's is mine. I don't repair other people's equipment and then send them back to their owners. I repair, restore, and bench test every unit. I then install each unit into my own stereo system and do what they were meant to do. Play Music!
