A new poll shows almost three-quarters of Seoul citizens think it is necessary for the two Koreas to unify in the future.
According to an online survey of 2,000 citizens conducted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, 74 percent of respondents said unification needs to happen.
Of those, 25 percent said it'll occur within 20 years, and around a fifth said within 30 years.
However, 17 percent of respondents said unification is impossible.
The survey also found that relatively few Seoul citizens inter-Korean relations will improve any time soon.
Less than 40 percent of those polled said ties will get better in the next five years.
As for North Korea denuclearizing, according to a majority of 70 percent, the chances are low.
