Accidental Anthropology: Working from Home, Homeless | Lindsay Williambrown | TEDxAustinCollege In spite of a high powered career working with Fortune 500 firms, Lindsay Williambrown found herself homeless several years ago. Growing up as a preacher’s kid, she worked with refugees throughout her childhood and yet discovered her worldview shifted dramatically with her own 18-month homeless experience. Join her on her journey through awareness, coping, and even paranoia as she worked from home while being homeless.
Lindsay is a 2002 graduate of Austin College who later earned an MBA from Penn State University. She studied corporate, indigenous, and marginalization anthropology as well as the anthropology of power, global scaling, and change. Her work , Williambrown is a corporate anthropologist trained in indigenous power marginalization, and global scaling. Her work has won global business recognition from CEOs, Fortune Magazine, Forbes, DiversityInc. She is a founding member of Knarys, the standard bearer analytics platform and consultancy for high-return inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility.
